A Savage wood stock for an older gentlemen that stops by quite often, [4.19 spacing] He really doesn't have the funds for a new one, but I may help him out to get one, I don't even know what there worth. thanks jeff~

Every stock now seems to be the 4.40" spacing....a possible fix for him is to drill and tap the action at 4.40" then stock choice is greatly expanded... That's what some of the guys have suggested to me because I am in search of myself....

its easier to redrill a 4.40 stock and use an oversize pillar, been there and done that.

Boyd's sells a grey/black laminate that will fit a Savage MLII, for around $100. It has the ramrod hole in the stock too. It's 4.25" spacing. It looks great.

If one orders a Boyds do yourself a favor and get the upgraded decelerator pad, money well spent.
