I have a .401 die I don't use.Can I drill and or home it to shoot sabotless in my .45 rancor? I have pin gauges I could check it as I go.

I would drill undersized and ream it to .448ish and test then ream from there. don't know what bullet you want to shoot or what kind of equipment you have available. Just drilling will be pretty rough both in finish and trying to hit your desired diameter.

It should be heat treated and hard as a file. Drilling it will be next to impossible unless you use solid carbide.. For $20.00 I would just buy the correct size.. Jeff..

I probably will end up buying a die and a bushing plug. Jeff did I read somewhere back you were making a die that smooth and full form? Thanks I thought it might be hardened.

Yes I make a die that will do both. Smooth for die complete for $150.00 and if you send me a drop from your barrel ill make a full form bushing for $35.00. So the complete sizing die set up is $185.00. I have a few left in stock and when they are gone it will be middle of spring at least before I can do another run of them.. Thanks .. Jeff.
