We were down at the cabin over the weekend and it was getting close to dusk. The younger kids were waiting around the campfire pit waiting for the fire to be started. Somehow they got onto the subject of coyotes (or kyrooties as my 4yr old granddaughter would say) and all three of them (3, 4 and 5yr old girls) did their coyote imitations for about 5 minutes. I didn't think nothing of it and was cleaning and helping to get things squared away for the evening s'mores. About 10 minutes later I look up and about 125-150yds away in a hay field is a coyote looking us over. One of those cases of things you see when you do not have a gun. I'll have to see if they can do that again the next time we are down at the cabin (of course I'll have the AR ready).

He was probably curious as to where that hair-lipped coyote was.

It bothers me a little because a small child lost in the woods could become coyote prey. Shoot them on sight.
