Richard's time and money in load development have been a tremendous help to most on this board, indeed. TGinPA's work, time and money in pressure trace development have been priceless in both information and safety. Can we not do a bit more for him? We can't ship powder, but something as a credit or gift certificate from those who can sell/ship powder surely would be nice. Yes, a bullet credit from Luke will be great, also. Agreed and if Ralph is open to it, would like to see a 40 cal barrel in his arsenal to do trace work. I agree with you guys. I've got some 40cals on order that I can contribute one at cost to TG or whatever he decides he really wants. As I said in a previous post, I'm going to be out of town for a couple of weeks and completely unplugged from the internet & e-mail, so I'll check back in and see where things have gone when I get back. Merry Christmas!

+++++1 to jims. I started to write a reply to his post. But after writing a page long disorganized rant, I thought it best to wait a bit to truncate a response. I do see the possibility of a slippery slope here which might unfairly understate awesome contributions of some real (and very smart) experts on this board who have made promotion and development of sml almost their life's work over a period of many years (at least that is the way it seems to me). Thanks for the kind words! On occasion,I have asked for bullets to complete a request for a trace and for the few times it has happened, it has worked out OK. The good news is that "we ain't done yet" And I believe that speaks for all of us.
In regard to any work with 40 cal, some may be aware that I backed out of a request for tracing in this range several years ago because I thought there would be calibration problems and I wasn't sure how long and far interest in it would continue? I believe the expertise and help and advice I would need in setting up a calibration load exists within the board? If so, it is a possibility. Clearly, if tracing worked out, interest in the caliber might increase even more? TG

Any word on the delivery date on the new barrel? Looking forward to Richard's range reports with his new barrel. Also were we able to put enough aside to get the 2n1 sizing dies for the project also?
