What does everyone here recommend for a cleaning rod? I'm looking for a one piece rod to clean my 243 and my 7mm. Figure it needs to be at least 32" long to clean from breech to muzzle both guns are bolt actions, 7mm has a 24" barrel. Been looking at several from carbon fiber to coated spring steel and ever stainless.

I have Dewey and Bore Tech. Both are good but edge goes to Bore Tech. I use Lucas bore guides for both.

7mm is the one that turned me onto the Bore Tech products. Got some of the Eliminator bore cleaner coming.

I use Dewey Rods. Get them from Sinclair. I have eight and like them very well. Jeff

The folks at Bore Tech are great to work with. They are located in PA. I stopped in one day and they took very good care of me. I have used a Dewey rod for many years. No complaints with their products.

Both are great. I have half a dozen Dewey rods here at the house and another half dozen at work; they are good rods and I have used them for about 15 years. I also have a few of the Bore-Tech rods. I think they have smoother bearings and tougher coatings than the Dewey rods. I have only used them for a few years now but if it is my money I'm spending Bore Tech will get my business from now on.

The coating has come off two different Dewey rods . Have also used Parker Hale rods and they work very well. Just picked up a carbon rod and that seems to work well .
