Well I just got back from my hunting trip and was fortunate to harvest a doe. I hunted with my good friend Zen and brought along my pastor and boss to experience the Panhandle Guide service. We had a great time and was happy to spend time with my friends. We hunted pretty hard and found one giant mule deer which my pastor had a shot at 100 yards and missed. My boss was meat hunting and was fortunate to harvest a spike after 6 shots. I put my walking shoes on and probably covered 10-15 miles up and down the mountain side (small mountain). I was about 3 miles back in on some public ground and had a shot at a doe at 394 yards but didn't want to pack out a doe that far back in the public. Last day of the hunt I shot a doe at 232 yards with my McRem 45 shooting 250 SST over 10/60 4759/4198 roughly 2750 @ 40°. Prefect broad side shoot double lung pass threw. Looked like great expansion and she only ran about 70 yards. She was a good average doe and was very happy to take some meat home. You could hear the bullet hit and again the SST kills another deer. I've shot so many deer with the SST I couldn't even count that high. My only complaint about the whole hunt is I forgot to take pictures of the doe I shot but I'll share some of the terrain pictures I did get.

Boy you guys seem to always get it done! Congrats and a good shot at that range. Glad you got your confidence back from earlier. We hear so many different opinions on the 250sst/ftx, it makes your head spin. Of course any bullet thru the vitals gets the job done. They shoot very good for me, but I haven't tried them on a deer yet. I have hundreds of them so one of these days. Great job again.

What RR didn't tell you is that they he and Less passed up a couple decent bucks in holding out for a biggun..we spotted a 180" and a 160" early on so they had their minds set on them...Maybe I'll get a shot at one of them come Dec 1.... Zen
