Just purchase a CVA Optima with the QRB plug. Was wondering if there is an alternative grease to use instead of CVA's anti-seize stick. Thought I had seen it answered on here in the past. But, can not recall for sure.

Use teflon thread tape easy clean up. No grease. Can light oil chamber thread then install taped plug. Then dry swab barrel good to go.

Well, i only owned one rifle that utilized the QRBP. The plug fit the barrel so perfectly, there was zero blow by to the threads. So.. i never used anything on the threads of the plug, except light oil to prevent galling. Don't really know how many shots i put through the plug/rifle, but guess it was over 500, but less than 1000.

The CVA QRBP's really don't need anything more than a little gun oil on the threads, as no blowback gets back there due to the awesome seal. Here was my CVA Blackhorn QRBP after the first range session, several shots. Note the pink tape has absolutely nothing on it, nor does the forward part of the breech plug. The only place there is fouling, is where it should be. Now I just use a little scent free gun oil, that's it.
