This is one of two 40 cals in the works, I just got this one back from Ken (Rossman) tonight, I hope to burn some powder in it tomorrow.
It is a Savage MLII (pre accu-trigger) with a Savage tactical bolt, savage stainless trigger guard (Donor gun was from a board member, bolt and trigger guard from Brownells)
PacNor .392/.400 1-16" twist, 25" length, (From Steve) ***this is a 209 ignition gun
B&C Tactical Medalist stock with aluminum bedding block, (From Stocky's) pillared and third action screw, bedded (By Ken)
Timney Trigger (From Brownells)
ss recoil lug (from Luke)
Farrell base, (from Luke)
Burris Medium Tactical rings (Cabela's)
Vortex Viper HS 4-16x50 (30mm) scope, Butler Creek flip open caps (Cabela's)
Special thanks to everyone who helped pull this one together: Steve, Ken, Dave, and Luke. Next will be the (Shorty) RemPac .392/.400 mounted in the Boyd's Tacticool stock.. Stay tuned
I'll try to get some better pics and a few range targets soon as I can.

What kind of bullets are you going to shoot with it? I have a good feeling he's going to throw some 240gr Cutting Edges down range

Awesome gun! What kind of bullets are you going to shoot with it? I'm going to try to get it dialed in with 200SST's, then make the jump to the 240 CEB's like Steve mentioned. Just sized some SST's and getting ready to weigh out some charges and head for the bench, hopefully I can get er done today..

Made it out for a quick trip to shoot the new .392, conditions weren't optimal but I just wanted to hear it go boom. I was able to shoot 2 three shot groups at 105 yards, unfortunately I was only able to use a card table as a bench but even so, the results weren't bad for a first trip. I anticipate it will get even better over time and with better shooting conditions. This was started out with a clean barrel, the first group was the group on the left, the first shot (FOULER) was the furthest to the left, the next two touched. This load was 10/60, N110/Varget, dry wool wad, Win primer, 200 SST sized at 1.0 on the swinglock die, loaded really easy but was allowing room for when the bore was fouled.
Next I moved the scope over so I could change loads and hopefully create a separate group.
The second group, (on the right) was shot with 10/65, N110/Varget, dry wool wad, CCI Mag primer, 200 SST sized at .8 on the swinglock die, loaded nice and smooth but with good resistance (no hammer required). This group shot pretty well also. All in all I'm pretty happy with the first outing giving the conditions, I think it will be a shooter....

Good start, got your feet wet with it. Like the recoil? Tell that woman to buy you a membership for your birthday so you can shoot off real benches.

Beauty. What is the BC on the 240 gr CE? The cost? Not real sure, Steve can answer for me, he's told me but I suffer from CRS pretty bad. Maybe around 340ish???

It's a shooter for sure... Any idea how fast you're going? Didn't time any loads yet, but i am thinking the 10/65 load should be around the 2800fps mark, give or take a lil.

Thanks for the compliments and positive feedback everyone. This one is only going to get better from here, at least that's the plan. Then soon the rempac .392 will join in the race... it's all too fun...

Guy.... How fast are going to shoot those CEB's? Zen
I see 45 Omega is shooting them 2700fps... With the BC on them the'll make a good bullet.
