Anyone have any good primer, bullet and load groupings on the Rem/Brux barrels yet? With what I've read about the quality of the barrels I'm sure some bullets out there may not hardly need any sizing. Thanks

I have a Sav/Brux .45 combo. I cannot give you any info for a day or so. I will try to get it together by then. I know I had to slightly reduce .451/2 bullets, the 290 TEZs at .450 might just go down that way. Have not tired yet.

Good luck, have some of the 290's and wondering if anyone has had any success so far with any bullets.

I'm pretty sure all 451 bullets will need sized down to fit. Double check with luke to be sure..

Hope this helps a little. In the .45 Brux I used the .400 Barnes 195 grains and the 200 SSTs with the light blue Harvestor sabot. I use a duplex of 4759 of 10 grains and 50 grains of 4198. This is a lighter recoiling combo. Sabotless, depending on the bullets I had to use a .449 or a .450 die to get them to work. The 290 TEZs mike right at .450 and in my Brux just test fitting it looks as if they might go down a clean bore sabotless. I will use the same powder combo. This is in my barrel which is beefier for the first 5 inches than some so I cannot say it will work in your barrel combo. It sure would be nice if you could find a bullet that you could use without resizing. It saves time and money. You would be dependent if they ever discontinued that bullet however. Flat based bullets have always worked better for me, certainly with sabots and even sabotless. I have avoided annealing so far, just another step in the process I hope to avoid.

Stan the 275's should work well. Can't wait till I get mine all together and try it out. I'm going to start out with a few loads of 10/60 4759 and H4198 and 70-73gr of straight 4198 and see what it will do.

I have a Rem/Brux 45 cal barrel is 30" long plus the brake, it is 450/458 barrel with a 1-22 twist. It LOVES 275 Match Hunters, also likes 275 BE's too. There is a lot more info about it in a post I did last fall. 45 Rem/BruxDave

As I said I would, I checked and the 290 TEZs are slightly too big to go down my Brux barrel without some reduction sizing. They fit just perfectly down my McGowen barrel. The 275 MatchHunters also did not fit the Brux, nor did the 275 Ballistic Extremes. I did not check the McGowen but would venture a guess that they would. .0005 can make a big difference sabotless.
