I would never make a prediction but I have seen them go between .75 and 1.5 MOA
They have certainly been accurate enough for any hunting one might do

I had a remmy mnt rifle and it shot the 120bt very well, also the 140 accubond and 139sst,, also a 100 grain hollow point sierra I think,,, If I had liked the safety and trigger I never would have sold it. 22 inches is all you need, varget worked well with all bullets

Hard to beat a Rem. model 7 in 7-08 for a lite, handy deer rig. Ain't no flies on a mtn. rifle either !

I bought a savage model 10 7mm-08 about 10 years ago. It has become my go to gun over my 25-06, 243 and 270. Most of my shots are 300 yards or less. Great knockdown power and not much recoil. Except for one instance, I haven't had a deer go more than 10 yards after being hit. That one went about 30 yards. Most drop right in place. I'm shooting 140 grain ballistic tips. Most exit holes are large enough that I can put fist in them.
On a side note last year I put a Boyd's laminate thumb-hole stock on it. They make a great and inexpensive product. It really dressed up the appearance of the gun.

I hunted with a .270 for years,, I consider the 7mm-08 to be a stuby .270,,,less noise and recoil and near the same performance,,, 120BT going 3100fps is easy to obtain and plays hob on deer and hogs

the 120 barnes TTSX works well in mine and would kill anything I would likely ever shoot with it including elk and bear, excellent round and excellent bullet.
I have a Sako 75 in 7-08 and with that bullet it will shoot sub moa for 5 shots and is a stone cold killer. I also have a few 6.8 SPCs (.270 dia bullet) in the ARs and they are killers as well..

Personally, I would bypass the Rem & look into a Ruger or a Kimber. Just too many problems with the newer RemLin company along with atrocious customer service. I had an older 700LSS Mountain Rifle in 260 when those first came out & It was a fantastic gun.....not like what they are putting out now Just MHO- Greg

I have a fully custom 7-08 (Nesika action, Lilja barrel, Jewell trigger, Rem Model 7 stock, etc). In the past couple of years friends have asked that I test various factory loads in their own Tikka 7-08's. All except one shot factory ammo sub-moa; the worst one grouped moa. Other than the pride of ownership of a unique custom, I'd have been pleased to own a Tikka; in fact, I just bought a Tikka 270 WSM.
I'd recommend 139-140 grains for whitetail at 300 yards; it's worked for me.

I have had good results with the Hornady ammo loaded with the 139 SST. Under an inch at 100 yards. Of course, each gun has its own favorite.

I have owned a number of rifles on Remington Mountain Rifle and KS patterns. They have been some of my favorites. I once had a 700 Mountain Rifle DM chambered in 280 Rem. I still to this day regret letting it go! That was my all time favorite whitetail hunting gun.. (Had a twin to it in 25-06 also, never fired it and let it go in the same deal.) Oh what I'd do to have them back...

My favorite the last few years gas been an A-Bolt 'Micro-Medallion' in 284 Win. I happen to have an X-Bolt in 7mm-08 too, but just use the 284. Ballistics are close enough I'd just recommend the 08 over the 284, since ammo is more common. I reload so don't worry about store ammo.

I talked my wife's cousin into an SS SPS 7/08 several years ago, think he got it for $375.00. Topped with a 6x42 Leupold I have held MOA out to 500 yards with that rifle. The only thing that we have done to it is tweak the trigger and dab some bedding in the recoil lug of the factory stock. I loaded up some 120 grain vmax bullets in it and it shot about .75 MOA. Wish I would have bought the dang thing now......
