Bear with me folks. Got another question for everyone. Bought a single stage LEEE Press with a .452 sizing die. It came with a bottle of LEE Alox to lube the bullets. Since the bullet will be encased in the sabot during it's travel out the barrel. I was wondering if the bullets still need to be lubed or not ? Have asked several questions to the members and I have gotten good advise from all. Thanks to everyone for your help in my quest to understand the ins and outs of inline rifle shooting. Vearl

I would lube bullets to save die from scratching and wear. Spray white lithium greaae works and easy cleaning i spray bullets off with brake cleaner . My thoughts

I have used that lube with home cast bullets loaded for center fire handguns, usually with Lee 'tumble-lube' bullets. There would be no need with lead bullets held in a sabot. I have used other bullets ready for handgun loading that already had some dried lube on them, no real issues either in the M-L.
They may be a tad messier used in the M-L if they have lube, no biggie. If you have to much dried lube it could effect sabot fit, that's about the only adverse issue I see.
