Im not throwing stones just info. Ultimate muzzleloader had 4 team shooters compete in inline hunter aggregate match this week and had sub par showing. They are advertised to shot some amazing groups and was represented very well. Maybe competition atmosphere effects accuracy. But many factory muzzleloaders posted better aggregate scores.

Hi bestill i was told you could help with my cva apex,I got a 45-70 apex barrel and had modern muzzle-loading install a 209 conversion plug, I plan on shooting blackhorn 209 with parker bullets, 275gr and 327gr, do you have any safe loads to get maximum velocity? talked to Hankins and am considering having him put in his plug thinking it might burn blackhorn more efficiently, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.new member on board, don't know if im doing this right.turk180.Ps I also got swinglocks bullet full form.going hunting for two weeks so will try to get internet to see if you answered.

No smokeless at friendship. If you bring it up you get your butt tore by the old heads down there....

No smokeless for sure. And not sure who the 4 ultimate shooters were . The range officer only said some accuracy claims were made but didn't produce on target.

So is there an 'after action report'? Like the different categories, results and who used what? I would think all shooters have their guns and loads tweaked just right for the very best performance.

Imo they are good to 200 yds shooting paper. With1-20 twist the stability factor is near 4.0 which i believe causes a ridge bullet flight. So bullet goes to sleep very quick resulting in great short range groups but at 200 yds and beyond tries to fly nose up then accuracy crashes. 327 match seems to stabilize at 150yds and very accurate beyond it stability factor1.6 ideal for long range but hasn't went to sleep at short yardage.. Preliminary results but i believe range time will prove this. I shoot2400fps. With2900 fps these yardage may be extended alittle because of distance and flight time and bullet rpms but going to be similar. Just my thoughts.

That's giving them some items to mull over between relays. Nothing like some mental challenge, that is what seems to matter most for many, unless you have very superior equipment, which may be the case here. Really good on "representing". 10

Saw on another post that a guy shooting Black Powder and 500gr. lead bullet won the National In-line Championship. Also, stated he was the first shooter to ever complete paper portion of the AGG (50, 100 & 200) with a perfect 150/150. Don't recall the exact x-count. He only missed one chicken at 200M and hit all the Pigs at 300M. Wow, that's good shooting and a good rifle!
