All three of the most local to me didn't even know there was a new remington muzzleloader available. Made me wonder if they forgot to advertise or something. I told them I wasn't sure but thought they were gonna be 900-1000 and all three said they would pass on stocking one.

I haven't kept up with or followed these at all, but just wondering are these going to be easily modified like the old 700 ML's? Not that anyone wants to spend that kind of money for a starting point, just wondering if someone got one and didn't like it, is it going to be a decent platform to screw on a different barrel of choice?

It has at least one locking lug or it wouldn't need a ffl . I just saw a buy it now for 749.00 on Gun broker...It comes with a nice stock...it lacks performance ignition in a performance barrel from what I'm seeing.....

From what I understand from a man that has one of the first is that...... The barrel bore is .500 and the grove is .518 that's .009 deep on each side and he is having problems getting a good seal. Jeff..

Ouch that's a recipe for a disaster, wish they would have pulled it together and made a real shooter.

You can buy the laminates on Gunbroker for as low as $749 + processing. And the Bell & Carlson Stock guns go for $850 to $900 + processing.

problems getting a good seal. Jeff.. Ask any Maine or Canadian lobsterman or fisherman, the only good seal is a dead seal! Sorry mods, I just couldn't resist.
