Had some minor outpatient surgery this morning. Discovered a medium sized lump semi-deep in my back. Between my shoulder blade and spine. Went to have it checked by a surgeon today and he said "want me to take it out now?" I said sure!
Almost got sick. Laying on my stomach and looking the other way, I could feel the tugging and pulling. Could envision each stroke. Then my eyes drifted to a small cabinet with a glass door. A perfect reflection of a set of very bloody gloved fingars and a knife. Almost lost a few cookies. Broke into a sweat and did a lot of gulping and self control to let him finish....with my eyes closed. What a sissy huh? 2 inch cut. Can't shower for 2 days.
Anyhow, he said it looks OK but is sending it out for analysis anyways. Procedure. So I have all day to watch the new guy come into the White House and lurk around Doug's. Maybe, if I'm not too sore I will go check my trail cam...a 1/2 mile walk up a steep hill.
Hope I can work tomorrow...a whole day with you guys might be too much! ;D ;D

I had a benign cyst removed several years ago.Your words brought those memories flooding back.Though there was no reflection in which to watch him carry out his bloody deed,I do remember every cut and tug.Unlike your sissy response, I did not get sick or experience any cold sweats! Suck it up boy! ;D You better forgo the climb. You will probally pay for that!

How well I can identify with these procedures. Mine have sometimes been nothing to worry about and a few times bad news. My hope and prayers are that any deep concerns are unfounded by facts and that your only need is to watch a quick healing process. I had to smile when you mentioned that you might check your wildlife Cam. This meant to me that your attitude is push away the bad and dwell on the good. Post the pictures of game but not the wound. Hope all the test come back fine and you are back to scouting in a couple of days.
As for the new guy, it feels colder already, he must have fixed the Global Warming already...not bad for an hour and a half ;D

Good luck with that Youp50. Keep your eye out for the "butt out" tool. If you see that lurking on a back shelf, or in a reflection, RUN!!

Get healed soon for you can check your trail cam. Take a shower before going in the woods. You don't want to scare all the deer. ;D Steve

Thansk for the kind words guys. Made it through the night and am headed off to work this am. We make exterior door units at my company and I usually work in veneering. Not too much heavy lifting. Some heavy sliding of doors off tables and into presses. Or just making raised panels. Have to admit, it's very sore. I will be careful.....it's my recoil absorbing shoulder. I am sure it will only make me tougher. ;D ;D

Glad you made the first night. As I recall that first night after surgery was the worse. I am sure your Buddies at work will take care of you today. Now you need to remember to take care of you today.
