Hey Tar,
Are you guys out there long enough that you have to water the dogs while hunting? Also, how is "Q" doing in school? Is he still into coming home and hunting?

Wilms I always carry water for the dogs regardless of the time of the year and during kill season when we log hours at a time hunting I take feed for them as well. They are performance athletes and I treat them as such. "Q" is doing very well in school. Leased him a apartment this year and saved $4500 and got him out the cracker box he was forced to stay in the first year. He is very much into coming home...I think he always will be.I have a a lawn care business/tax sale property clean up business that keeps us busy and keeps him in some spending money. Not only that but he loves hunting these dogs. i started him hunting dogs when he was 5 years old and he loves it! We are still doing the depredation control work. He is probably the only kid on Campus that has a freezer full of deer meat, frog legs, rabbit, and fish fillets! lol I am still stacking the deer up with the .243 and he is using a custom Hoosier WSM .358 launching a Barnes all copper 200 grn pill @ 3,000fps....DEADLY.

I know you also have a day job. How you get it all done I do not know. It is nice to have the kids relatively near by. Two of mine are on the opposite coasts but my youngest "may" get even closer than 2 hours away. She is the one that likes to hunt. You could probably fill all the campus freezers. Keep reporting.

Jim the only way I get most anything done is with a lot of help from my son. His last class is on Thursday afternoon and he has Fri.,Sat.,Sun, off. I hunt thru the week as much as I can and we really hit it on the weekends. I am taking almost all of Nov. off and I am considering taking most of December off as well. Hunt, hunt, and hunt! lol I hope your youngest makes it back close to home! I don't know how much longer I will have him close to home...
