I'm sure this question has been asked a hundred times before and I'm sorry if it's a repeat. But I'm looking to shoot sabotless out of my encore with 45/70 bergara conversion. Has anyone had any good luck with sabotless that required no sizing or any work to the bullet at all? I basically want to find a bullet that I can go straight from the box to barrel and get "minute of deer" accuracy. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Every rifle is different and it is most likely hard to say whether you will be able to grab any bullet and just drop down the barrel. I have a CVA optima elite 45/70 berraga barrel conversion and any bullet I get has to be sized. If I do my part I can get better than moa at 100 yards shooting 2650 f/s with 250 FTX sized down and knurled back up.
I fought tooth and nail on getting a sizing die for 2 years. I just ordered one and should see it very soon. My suggestion to you is just get it over with and order one you'll be happier in the end. I ordered one from Jeff sent barrel drop on Monday and he sent out the competed for set today, I believe. I also believe Luke has some in stock also.
Good luck

Thanks for the input. How much are these resizing dies? And are they all the same?

The adjustable ones are around $155-$185. I just ordered one from Jeff that is a 2 n 1 for $185 he got my barrel drop on Wednesday and sent out the finished product the next day. Very fast turn around and I'm excited to start using it. In my opinion the 2 n 1 is the way to go that way later on down the road if you decide to go full form then your already set up and don't need to spend another $150 for a die.

Assuming you have the barrel, take out the plug and try to push through: A .451 Barnes tez. A .4515 parker be or mh. A .452 sst or tc shockwave. If one of these fits with medium light to medium loading pressure chances are good a load can be developed to make it shoot.
