Jeff,
You have definitely found a winning combination and set a standard for others to try and beat regardless of the uproar!

Luke..
I worked on my ignition system for several years, spent several thousands of dollars designing and redesigning it until I settled on what I have now..
I hunted with muzzleloaders when a muzzleloader had an octagon barre, a full length Curley maple stock and a hammer on the side with double set triggers.
During those years deer were scarce in Kentucky and if you hunted all day and saw one you were lucky. When you got that chance to fire your ML and all you got was a pop your heart went to your feet and you started thinking..
Then the inlines came out and every one dropped the ole ML's for one of those new fangled jobs and things were better. For awhile. Next came the use of 209 primers and every one again dropped the #11 caps and switched to the 209's.. Including me..for a short time, and then I went back to the #11's. After a few more years, I kinda got out of ML hunting and did mostly bow hunting. For several years I didn't even hunt with a ML at all. After I opened my rifle building business to the public I was approched my oneshotike to build him a ML that would be able to kill deer at 300 yards so the wheels started to spin. I researched as much as I could find on these SPML.. Richard Franklin and Bad Bull were the only two I could find any info on at the time. So like just about everyone else on this board I order Richards Video on the SPML and watched it. Built one for oneshotike and it shot good but had lots of blow back and the priming modules only lasted a few shots. So we were replacing nipples and making primer holders as much as we were shooting the 45. I could not stand the blowback pressure hitting me in the face so I told Mike I had an idea... This idea evolved into what I use now and the 209 primer has now became a thing of the past for me and many others. Things change, things get better and most people see the improvement and jump on the (Band Wagon) to help improve their odds..
This is what I had to over come.... To design and build an ignition system that is 100% water proof and pressure proof, Fires every time, is user friendly, and cost effective. For the do it yourselfers he can get my system for. $200.00.. For the many hunters in the world that is not capable to build it their self and wants the best he can buy, a rifle from me can cost upwards to $4,000.00.. Just depends on what all he wants.. It can be built for $2750.00 but no one sees that price because they like to over estimate them... Believe me I ain't getting rich building rifles or I'd be doing it full time.. My business is just like your business ,, if you ain't making money, you can't keep the light on.. When you run a legitimate business you have license to buy, insurance to buy, tooling and raw material to buy, machines and maintenance, electric bill to pay, heat bill, air conditioning, computers, websites monthly bill, lunch once in a while, and yes taxes... Uncle Sam wants his share at the end of every quarter.. So for you guys that say my product is over priced,, you don't have to buy it and I'm sure there are some that will never want to use LRMP in their ML's. that's ok with me. I can't make them all, nor do I want too..
On to the next question... You can look back through all my post and you will not find where I jabbed someone for what they have or use unless they jabbed me first. If a guy wants to poke fun at me or my product that's perfectly ok with me but he should be ready to get a poke and or jab back.. I've never said "shoot my rifles because they are better.." They are darn good and probably the best you can buy from any maker, but I have never put anyone down for using what they have.. There's guys that can afford a $4000.00 gun and there are guys that can barely afford the hunting license, so I say use what you got and enjoy the same sport we all love and that's being in the woods,,,, weather we kill a deer, elk, moose, bear or whatever ,, the real joy is being there..
One more thing.... I read on the board that several builders have came to this sight but never stay long... That might be because they were not welcome here because they wanted to show something they thought was better and just a few of you members ran them off... I have talked to a few of those guys and this board is missing out because they refuse to post on here and get a bunch of crap from the know-it-alls.,, that really don't know all that much..
I have gotten several PM's from members asking me/ telling me to stay. They said,, ignore some of those guys, everybody else does.... Well I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm here to stay, I'll help anyone that wants help and I'll call it like I see it. Straight to the point most of the time and no pussyfooting around... However, I like a little humor in these post as much as the next guy but if you can dish it out be ready to take some back.. Jeff.

we have all shot good groups over the years, yes even me. I almost never post any because its a PITA and I simply don't have time for it. I have never been a great bench shooter BUT I can usually hold my own with anyone when the crosshair is on an animal. I will give cudos to Richard for posting ALL his groups regardless of how good or bad.
there have been some good targets posted here on this thread but you don't see mine here, maybe next year, (doubtful) but stranger things do happen. there is no denying the accuracy of Jeffs guns, the targets prove it. as Richard knows and most here know shooting a bughole when the pressure is on is a whole different ball game when you have 20 guys standing around and the ole ticker is thumping, I choked at the shoot as well as others, not because Wills pea shooter wouldn't shoot better but because I didn't get it done, period. will it shoot with one of Jeffs guns? NO and I don't ask it to, I only ask what its capable of and that's all we can expect from a gun.
obviously this thread was done in fun and Im glad all the targets got posted, I like looking at them, kind of gives me something to "shoot" for.
we see all kinds of platforms here on this site and that's a good thing. we share ideas and actually come up with some neat stuff sometimes. bottom line is there is something here for everyone in the smokeless SML world, regardless if it a conversion from a break open, the original Savage, or anything else.
we take this stuff WAY TOO SERIOUSLY most of the time and get bent out of shape for no good reason. I cant tell you how many times I have laughed out loud at some of the comments guys post taking a jab at someone else....lighten up guys and have a good weekend...Bill

This thread is dangerously close to running off the rails!
Banter between members is OK, but flames are not tolerated. Please use caution before hitting the "post" button.

Although there has been a lot of banter lately (and that can be a good thing) I personally have seen no flames as of yet... Jeff.
