Savage T/A .451 30" Pacnor 1 in 18" twist 300 MH H4198 70-78 grains Primer flame Channel 15/64" .041" x 1-hole bushing OK, wanted to look at accuracy and primer bulging with stout loads of H4198 and 300 MH's No velocities, but my guess is the 78 grain load is ~ 3000 fps Groups 1 and 2, I shot one after another and the last shot in group 2 is a flyer because the barrel was getting pretty hot No primer bulging on Groups 1-3. I could flick the primers out with one finger Group 4 there wasn't any bulging, but the primer face was popped back a little so one of the primers I really had to pry hard on with my fingers to get out. Accuracy was pretty good, I'll try another group with 73 grains and a cooler barrel

Nice shooting! I am stoked to get out and start playing with that .040 bushing in my gun with the 310. I've got a new 2.5-10 NF with zero stops to play with. Looking forward to using the bipod and ringing some steel at distance!

Good shooting Josh.
Are the primers bottoming out on any inside shoulder and how tight do they fit?
Your "big dawg" should be home on Monday!
All the best
Mike

I have one each of the 24mm and 32mm and they are both great for the their purposes; DMR matches and hunting, respectively. I haven't got my hand on the 42mm as it came out right after my 32mm arrived. I should have a 5-25x56mmm F1 BEAST next week on loan from NF for testing and evaluation.

Josh,
Nice shooting. Am I understanding correctly that the bushing vent diameter is .041" x 1" or am I misreading?

Thanks guys!
Keith...ya the bushing is a .041" 1-hole. The reason I put that on there, is that I have a bunch of 2 hole bushings as well.

Gotcha, I wasn't sure if you meant you had a new bushing that was 1" long with a .041" vent hole running the length. There's no telling when you have something new cooking.
