Has anyone used N550? It has nice big tube-type grains like H4350 and is a little slower than H4350. It would be used in a .416.

Supposedly the VV 500 series is close to it's 100 series cousins in burn rate so N550 should be very close to N150 along with 4350 and Reloader 19. In manufacturing it uses a different method with the retardant. With most powders the retardant is a coating, with the 500 series it's actually mixed in before the powder is extruded. It is also a double base powder so has a lot of energy. Supposedly the pressure curve has a sharper front "ramp" but a flatter and longer "hump". The main reason for the difference though was to improve temperature stability.
