Has anyone seen the Tactical paint job Boyd's will do on their laminated stocks for the meager price of $15.00? A customer just brought me one today to build another Rem. SML. The paint job is excellent! Richard

The only problem is trying to duplicate it for touch ups.

Rossman..............I am in 100% agreement with you. I dislike anything that is already done and practical and then adding an additional external finish to it. Invariably they will get scratched and chipped. With wood you just sand a little and add a little Birchwood Casey and your back to like new. I love the way Boyd's finishes their laminated stocks; its more of an internal finish than just on the surface. I would bet they are put in a bath of some type of "thinned" gel-coat and its impregnated right into the wood. Richard

Richard thanks for posting that, I've been waiting and trying to decide what stock to get. I'm not much for the wood look so it's been tough finding what I want. For the money that will be the stock I get thanks.
