'Bout a week and a half,a couple of buddies and I are heading East, Central Montana. Going to take two carry in boats to do some fishing, Large Mouth Bass fishing that is. We have fished at this lake many times but several years ago the dam went bad and the BLM had to drop it to almost dead pool, the bass took a terrible hit, and no way to fish it. The BLM has since repaired the dam and we have had a year or two of good moisture to fill if to fishable depth. The bass have made a remarkable recovery. OK I started this off as a coyote post I know but I wanted you all to know Why we are heading to this particular spot. In the past we have had 300 fish days and it will be the main reason to drive 3 hours and camp in 100* sun with out a tree in sight. BUT!!!! In the event the bite is off , or we just get tired of catching 3 pound bass. This is coyote heaven. I'll be taking the fox pro, 22/250 and 870, to "Fill in" the rest of the day, early in the AM and well in to the dark. I'm going to be calling COYOTE !!!! The moon will be about full maybe I can call ALL night... JUST SAYING. It's not a bad thing to have a coyote killing addiction so bad is it ?

Dual purpose trip that prevents any boredom is a good way to go. Have fun.

I hope the weather will hold. I'm not a fan of the 90*+ temps but I'll take that over monsoon rains or 50 mph wind that is possible this time of year...
