Strelok calculates the gyroscopic stability factor which I didn't know in the original post. River rat lots of algebra in wiki. I'm sure this "factor" is minute in our applications. I've played with the number and the end results won't make a hill of beans to a deer. Trying to figure out how low I'm shooting at 300. Before someone chimes in and says shoot at 300. I don't have range that equals that distance. But to the best of my calculations I should be just a little over 9" low at 300 @2700fps with a 275 mh. Any real world experience would be appreciated.

Bestill has shot at those distances and beyond with those bullets but I believe at speeds closer to 2400 fps. He might have some more real world numbers.

I'm go to say you are going to be closer to 15 inches low at 300 yds with that load..

I use the Strelock Pro program... I also shoot a 275 MH @ 2700fps. My real world results are very close to what the program calculates at 300 yds which is close to 9" or 12 clicks on my Vortex Viper. Those results were at 30 degrees and 4000 ft elevation. Sighted in to zero at 200yds. Zen

I agree with panhandle's quote. If you sight in at 1.8 - 2" high at 100 the 9" drop at 300 should be close.

I should have listed my sight in distance. Zeroed at 200. Should put me 9.3 low at 300 and just over 2 high at 100.
