Well, today I did some shooting with various bullet at 100 yards, nothing earth shattering. Prior to putting the Rem. P/N .45 away, I decided to try a few (as in three) 250 Parker BE's at 300 yards with the duplex I had been shooting those 225 FTX's and 240 XTP's which was 5 gr. of Clays under 60 gr. of H-4198. Velocity for the three shots averaged 2674 fps with a 21 fps ES. Weather was hot with a slight head wind. This load would shoot dead on at 100 yards using the cross hairs. I decided to go with the second mil dot which would put me about 8" high at 100. The POA was that bull above and to the left. As can be seen, the POI was about 4" low. It would probably make it abut 9" high at 100 yards. Not saying it would do this good every time, but a good indicator that the combination will shoot. Note: These bullets are the old Blems that Tom Parker was selling a couple of years ago and have not been sized! NOT full formed. Richard

That is a fine group and now you cannot get that exact bullet again. Things like that always happen. Hope you have a pile of them left.

Great shooting, but a bit surprised that shot #3 did not have enough power to go through the backer board edge.

Great shooting. Hard and fast hitting clays with an easy to obturate bullets seems like a winning combination.

Nice shooting You can't do much better with a or. Were you using an all tungsten bushing? What size?

This brings me back to the feeling that a bonded BE or even a MH with the same jacket thickness of the BE would be a highly accurate fantastic hunting bullet.

Thanks guys. No, I am still of the opinion that the more shots you put into the group the better your analysis of the load. So why did I not shoot five?......................................I did not have the b_ _ls to mess up a pretty group. I will shoot it again next week and put five shots on the target. This should give a more realistic account of the combination rather than one "lucky" group. Phil...........yes it was the original pure tungsten bushing I got from Earnhardt. The hole is now somewhere between .025 to .026". I think the bullet/load/luck were more important than the exact hole size. I have shot good groups with hole sizes from .023" to .044". Richard

High BC like the match hunters? .451 class or .458?
Looking forward to checking them out.

Well, I thought you might want to know that just a bullet was in the works. I have a few of them and they are sweet looking. The BC should be just over .4. As soon as they are ready to be sold to the public I will post it on here so everyone can get some...

Richard.. You will have to reach down in those pockets but no farther than you do now for the top quality bullets that are available..at $2.00 each the bullets now-a-days are crazy expensive, but like everything else they just keep going up... And now that the bullet makers will be importing all their lead I would only expect them to keep going up.. What ever happened to the days you could get a brick of 22's and a couple boxes of 45 and go shoot all day for $20.00. Sorry to remind you of the good ole days....

SML... I wish I could post a picture but at this time the bullets are in testing and the maker of these bullets asked me to test some to see how good the would shoot. He asked me to save a few and show them to the guys that come to the shoot in August.. I'm sure that every one will be pleased with them... At this time all I can tell you about the bullets is that they look a lot like a match hunter but have a thinner jacket. The design is not set in stone yet, so to post a picture of a bullet I have might not be the same bullet that's brought to the market. I will keep you posted as to when they will be available.
