Just curious, is there a reason you prefer the Knight over a re-barreled Remington since you may re-barrel it anyhow?

Well the main reason is i had a knight years ago and really liked it. Then messed with several Remingtons then tc omega. Then 3 yrs ago house got robbed stole several of my guns . So my wife gave her blessing to build what i wanted and while following the board i built a dandy700ml with Douglas barrel and a sweet shooter which i sold to jims. Because in my heart i wanted a topend knight so one evening cruising the web was looking at mountaineer god told me to buy a new one and make it what you want just as the lord did to me . So that where im at now. Gun is called Be Still because when my life was a wreck psalms46:10 kept me . Bestill and know im god! Gun has blessed me since completion . Long answer but hope makes since. Thank s for asking.

Sounds good to me. I was only curious because of the work involved. I didn't know if perhaps the NMLRA rules required the action be integral to the barrel like you see in Knight Disc/Wolverine/Bighnorn/etc, White Muzzleloaders, TC Omega, etc and that prevented you from shooting an action with a barrel threaded in to the action. I understand your action is not strictly integral to your barrel (given your custom fabrication) but I figure it is like NRA Service Rifle and so long as it appears to conform to military styling it is good.
