If you had the choice between a disk elite or a master hunter in .45 what would you choose? Being all things equal regarding the guns. Are the barrels identical but for the fluting on the MH?

DISC Elite. Forked Recoil Lug and a contoured barrel. Everyone that I have seen has been a real shooter.

Disc Elite is the most accurate. I have a 45 & 50, both are set up for the non plastic jacket primer system by Lehigh.

Are the barrels any different between the two besides the obvious fluting?

The Elites have a forked locking lug and no sights. I believe the locking lug set up accounts for the improved accuracy.

It has a fully contoured barrel with no sights. Lighter than the regular barrel.

I have 2 45 Cal Disc Elites, my very favorite muzzle-loaders the last few years.
