SNIP. I wonder how soft brass is and if it can be used for hunting. They are most likely using free machining brass ( 360 ). The most common version is 1/2 hard, definitely usable for hunting IF it has a hollow point which those do not appear to have. Good terminal ballistics probably require a fairly high impact velocity unless it has a very large meplat. edge. Dave at Lehigh Bullets says he has a 416 grain hunting bullet that he doesn't advertise I think it's similar to 510 but on the. 510 750 gr design velocity is between 2500-3000 and yes edge it is the 360 brass.

Deadeye, it's just west of Angola, IN. Probably 2 hours or more for you isn't it? Cowhunter 35 bucks is pretty cheap for a day of it. Around here you can skip a bullet for miles and miles, land is flat as it gets. Start skipping bullets into buildings and it wouldnt take long for them to find the only guys launching $2.50 bullets out of muzzleloaders... myers- yes angola is about 2hrs north. I also lay low on giving info on the stuff we are doings w/ smk's/long range etc. its not for everyone imo.

Would a brass bullet only be suitable for target shooting? In a hunting situation, would you get effective expansion from brass?

[ Most of the videos I have seen on brass bullets they expand the fingers break off make new wound channels and then the main shank does a pass if you have enough velocity. Not an expert just what I've seen on YouTube go to Lehigh defense they have some videos

I like Ramen noodles and Blatz Beer. I'm a cheap date.

Edge: Great story of how tough our beloved adversary can be. Fortunately yours had a good ending. I know some idiots that lost their deer after hitting her with a super bullet. Kash: found info will send tomorrow.
