Anyone have any experience with the Ruger sp 101 in 357 mag.
In my search for the perfect carry/woods/everything gun, I looked at the 3" barrel model, and it seemed pretty nice. It seems like it would handle a hot load of 158 grains or 180 grains if needed, yet was relatively small.
Just curios if anyone has shot one or had one?

To answer your question...no. But I love my GP100 4 inch .357. Have put many thousand rounds through it and it is still very tight and also accurate. I believe the Sp101 is a little smaller (5 shot cylinder?).
Either way, I own a few Ruger pistols and they are very sturdy and reliable.

My Father-in-law has one. I shot it about 20 time I think it shot high with the loads he had. Not a target gun but I think they're a good carry gun.
