Does anyone make a replacement breech plug for the knight TK2000. I'm not crazy about the red plastic primer holders. Would think the plug could be modified to just hold the 209 in place. Since the bolt doesn't close all the way and fires from open bolt will have to have some setup that will hold primer and be able to remove it easily.

You might be able to use Lehigh bare 209 breech plug . It relies on the bolt closed to hold the primer in place . That could be a problem . Especially to exstract spent primer .

RRAY, Can't help you with the breech plug... my old gun is one of the first made and uses the #11 percussion caps. It's been extremely reliable and fires every time so far, in the couple years that I have owned it.
I do have a question for you...what is your load that you are using and does anyone have a load that works with Blackhorn 209 powder for turkeys? Take care, Bud. BOB

It is my understanding from what I've read and heard, BH209 can't be used in the TK2000. Not from a blowing up perspective but a reliability issue.
I am using the 3 1/2" wads filled with #6 shot, backed with 100 gr. Pyrodex RS. On paper, I know it will punch many holes in a sheet of paper @40 yds. I have not had opportunity to test it on feathers, but come Saturday, hopefully that will change.
I see people using up to 120 gr. powder, just don't feel that its necessary.

rray, Thanks for the info on your load...it's pretty close to what I shoot. I use the 3 1/2" shot cup filled with #6 pellets, that comes to 2 1/8 oz. or 491 pellets of shot. My powder load is 65.5 Weighed Gr. of Pyrodex RS (90 gr. volume). I've taken 3 birds with it so far, the longest shot was last year at 35 yards, he didn't even flop! The closest was last year too, at 18 yards, his head was turned to "mush". (I was hunting Kentucky and they have a 2 bird limit there.) If I get a bird within 40 yards of me, I consider him "in range". Be careful to shoot before the bird gets too close, it'd be easy to miss with such a tight pattern. All the best to you this season. Thanks Bob.
We are allowed 3 birds in Alabama. Going to go tomorrow and shoot a few targets. I can't figure out how to post pics on DOug's!

Rray, I found this link on the web it's for what you are looking for. www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=KGM900046I had an MK-85 with the #11 cap nipple and I switched it to this one that takes the 209 directly into the plug. I ended up selling the rifle but kept the #11 breech plug. I know it fits the TK-2000 because I use the old plug in my shotgun. You probably need that little tool to install/remove the 209's. BOB

KGM900046 " Converts Knight Rifles that use a Full Plastic Jacket to utilize a bare 209 Primer Fits: KP1, Shadow, and Vision"
It does not give the TK2000 as a choice, but I will see what natchez has to say. How does the primer stay in?

Oh yea, Just hit me. Natchez supply does not ship to Alabama, Tennessee or Georgia for some strange reason. E-mailed them a while back about that but did not receive a response.
