I was looking for stock options for my Encore yesterday and on the Boyds sight they're announcing they now sell stocks for the Savage muzzleloader. They look pretty good and way cheaper than anything else I'd seen. Just thought I'd pass it along. www.boydsgunstocks.com/

I saw that too and almost ordered one until I realized it's for the 4.2" action and not my 4.4" ML-11

Oh, good catch. I wonder if they could still modify them for the 4.4? Might be worth a call to see.

If not check with rossman40 on the board He makes pillars that will adapt it.

I have one of these stocks ordered and should have it In a week or so, (special ordered color and recoil pad) but it's going on a Rem not a savage. We will see how the quality is for the price..

I received the stock from Boyds today, and I have to say it looks really good. I got the classic style, Nutmeg, Pachmyer Recoil pad, and checkered. Shipped it out today to be bedded and the third pillar installed.

I ordered one in the salt/pepper laminate.
The fit and finish is spot on, no more plastic stock, extra weight will help in absorbing the recoil.
The length of pull is better.
Not bad for $98.00 plus shipping.
