I mentioned on the old board that my brother in law had found great performance and accuracy in his T/C Encore with BH209. I also mentioned he wasn't real big on the cleaning thing.
Our second 4 day gun season was over the December 10 weekend.
Our Late Winter Season (does only) happened this last weekend. (January 16,17,18 )
He did not bother to unload after the December season. Just put it in the case.
We had some horrible weather this last weekend, Friday morning -8F. The gun came in the trailer at night. Saturday morning he shot a coyote at 170 yards.
That BH209 is some tuff stuff. Apparently it does not suck water.
I'll say it again , if you have to use a sub, you're nuts if you don't try this stuff!!!

Andy,
I will say that a 180 gr bullet in .451 diameter is not a very effective bullet for deer. Fat, stubby, fragile and poor flight chracteristics. This is a complete pistol bullet.
If for some reason this bullet is a great shooter out of your gun, I would say your effective range is as far as you can hold a 5-6 inch group. And then take rib shots only...no bad angles.
If you are hunting big game I would seriously consider moving up to at least 250 gr bullets or heavier. Your effective range would probably be longer and the "effects" would be much better.
