Has anyone had any experience with the new browning A5? I was in a local gun shop and made the mistake of looking at one. I fell in love. Just wanted any opinions from anyone who has used one. I've a couple of old ones that are great guns, except for the fact that the old ones rattle my fillings when I shoot them. As a comparison I'm now hunting a Winchester super x2 and the recoil is barely noticeable. In both guns I'm shooting Winchester supreme 3 inch 00 buckshot. (Yea I know but in central Virginia it's what we use in the thickets.)

I'm feelin ya floormat1957. I picked one off the rack at Greentop and instant love affair too. Then I checked the tag and found she's a high $ rent & upkeep kinda girl. I've had 2 of the old ones and liked them but keep going back to my 1978 era 12 ga 870 Wingmaster and Browning 12 ga. BPS special field or Browning Gold #10. I shot one of the new A5 at some targets and didn't notice anything out of ordinary recoil wise. It fit me pretty good. I pretty much shoot Federal 000 through Patternmasters in the 12s and Nitroammo 000 in the 10. This is Eastern Shore, Northern Neck and Middle peninsula area of VA. I do have Limbsaver pads on all my shotguns and I think they help a lot with the felt recoil. Good luck with your love affair and getting a 1st date with that beauty.
Turkey season comes back in Jan 11 - 25 and I'm getting ready.

I really do like the 'hump-back' or semi hump-back look, but I have enough shotguns already. If I was looking I certainly would consider one. Yes, I'm sure the price tag is up there.
I like to take ounces off where I can, something like a 26" barrel with a 3" chamber suits me fine. I'll go with a shorter barrel for turkey or predator hunting.
