Happy to become a member.
I'm a muzzleloader shooter at heart, rarely picking up anything else other than a rimmfire or pistol. I've been shooting muzzleloaders since "73" and it continues to be my primary firearm. I'd rather watch someone shoot and possibly help, than to shoot myself. There is nothing better than watching the smile on a muzzleloader's face after he/she just shot an excellent target, or game. I'm always interested in what others are doing and creating in the muzzleloader world.
I've went about as far as I can go now with production muzzleloaders, the T/C Encore platform being my choice. However LONG RANGE shooting and a better built rifle is becoming a "must have" and, I'm not getting any younger.
Now......... lets see about getting me a custom built muzzleloader.

Good to see another Michigan hunter here, I joined 2 years ago and now have 2 smokeless barrels for my Encore and am working on a third. After that I am really wanting a falling block smokeless about the size of EABCO 97D. I was in the same boat as you in having pushed a stock Encore about as far as it would go,I even bought an endeavor barrel when they closed them out and shot it 50 times and into the safe it went never to emerge again. I was shooting up alot of Blackhorn 209 and just could not justify the cost anymore. There are quite a few directions to go on a smokeless build and I hope you enjoy it as much as all the shooters on here do.Have fun.

Encore50a, Glad to have you on the board.... I was at the sample place you are at one time with the encore platform with both black powder and smokeless shooting. I have moved over to 45 caliber bolt gun and have has some very good success with long range shooting(under 500 yards). It takes some time and willingness play around with difference powder and bullets but you can obtain sub-MOA at 500 yards if you make that investment. Good luck.
