ok guys I have a new England firearms with a .243 barrel, are these the same gun as a h and r because I cant find any barrels for "new England arms". I found a 32" barrel 45-70 gov't on h and r website if this will fit this gun without having to send the gun in to have them fit it to the receiver I would like to order it and send it to slufoot to put a BP in it and get setup to shoot smokeless.
sorry for the questions I am new to rifle shooting and would like to make this shoot moa at 200 yards if possible .
thanks
dustin

What 45omega said. Yes NEF/H&R have to have the frame to fit the 45-70 barrel.

I sent them a email a couple of hours ago I will try calling them tomorrow and have a talk with them.
I noticed their barrels are 1:32 twist and most of the ones I have seen one here are in low twenties in twist. Will I just have to shoot a slower heavier bullet in order for it to shoot as well. I've been searching on here trying to find some info from someone that has done this before and I'm not coming up with anything at the moment. I wil keep digging. Lol

The slower or the heavier(longer) the bullet, the faster the twist(smaller #) the barrel will need to be.
