need a good accurate load for a 300wsm in a tikka t3 light. 180 bullets ,like the 180 nosler acc tips or another good long range bullet for elk and mule deer

need a good accurate load for a 300wsm in a tikka t3 light. 180 bullets ,like the 180 nosler acc tips or another good long range bullet for elk and mule deer Have had excellent results with Nosler's pick load from their data........Hybrid 100V at 64 grains with 180 grain accubond will hang around 3000fps......have not tested with any of the new "Long Range Accubonds.

What powder do you have on hand, in the ballpark for the 300WSM? The 4350's would be fine too. Cross reference a few manuals then try a few charge weights, whatever you select.

I use 65gr of accur2700 and a win mag primer with the bullets your talking about. It gets me right at 3000fps in a 26in barrel and its a tack driver .You need to work up slow to that in your rifle because it might run at higher pressures. I also use H4350 at times.

I use 66 gr of IMR 4350 with a Hornady 180 gr SST interbond for a velocity of about 3000 fps in my T3 light. This is nearly a maximum load in the Hornady manual. I have taken 7 elk with this load, one at 470 yds and one at 549 yds. and the others varied from 50 to 300 yds. It strikes like Thor's hammer! It is a very effective elk load. Never shot a mule deer with this load but I think it would do just fine!

Could also look at some Barnes bullets like the Ttsx and use there online/book data.
