I have a large 10 point buck that comes in my field daily that would probably score 150+. Recently he lost 3 of the points on one antler. I'd like to get opinions on whether I should still take him this year or wait to see if he survives until next.

It's a tough call. For me it would be easy and I would pass. This has happened several times in the past 10 years. I recall a huge 8 point we were after in the 150 pt range. On a drive, I approached some cover and a deer stood up broadside, unaware of me 50 yds away. I knew it was him and prepared to get a shot. He turned toward me as I was pressing the trigger and I barely was able to stop my squeeze as I saw he had dropped one side completely. Another real wide and tall 9 pt that had all his points broken on one side flush with the beam. Passed.
However, if the rack isn't important, it is still a mature deer that's probably difficult to take and would be worthy in that respect. Totally your call here.

IMO, it depends a lot on hunting pressure. If you are pretty sure someone else won't shoot him then perhaps let him walk. It would be nice if he made it past the rut and passed on another years worth of genes.

If you can pass in another year he would really be a dandy.

A good deer with a busted rack is a tough call. I'm with the if you can let him go side. If you have a spot where he has a good chance of getting through till next year.

I'd shoot the other horn off him so nobody wanted him this year.

It sort of depends on the reason you want to take him. If you want to brag to everyone about a nice rack you shot, then pass and hopes he makes the season. If you want to take him because he is a mature, smart buck then the broke tines shouldn't have any weight in your decision. Of course I wonder sometimes if the big buck today is really all that smart or if we are just letting dumb bucks grow big racks.
