:)guys this ramrod is awsome.it's a takedown in 3 pieces with a bungy running inside and when you pull it out of the sheath it snaps together(very cool super fast and easy).i've been looking for a ramrod like this for along time because i have been using screw togethers and that gets old also i have custom barrels with no improvisions for a rod and don't want to rout out my custom stocks.so pac-nor guys forget about putting in any instock rods this thing is the #$&%.take a look: anybobdy looking for one of these babys contact: Harold Mac Donald , AkA Mac 821 Staint Martin Drive V a Beach Va., 23455 757-493-7670 Mac would like orders and inquiries via email as well: His address is macandmarlv24@yahoo.comintroductory price $35

Obviously the rod is hollow so I'm just wondering how sturdy it is? Really it looks like a standard arrow cut into 3 pieces and then capped. I'm assuming its not though. But if it's pretty stout this thing might be the real deal.

Dave
That is a great option to consider if you don't want a ramrod attched to a ML.
Wonder if it might be available in a 2-piece?
Thanks for making us aware of such a product available.

Thanks, Dave. Figured it was but thought I'd ask. At 3/8", It should be plenty strong for seating any bullet/sabot combination out there!

Along with the custom barrel guys there are custom stock guys. The gun I bought from Ozark has a boyds thumbhole laminate. No ramrod channel cut out.
I wrote down this guys address and am working up the numbers for the length I want. I would like the peice that holds the jag (a spin jag in my case) to end up being the size of the other 2 so that when folded, with spin jag on, all 3 peices are the same.
If the "connections" are solid, this is an awesome looking gadget that should work well for me and Ozarks gun.
I began woodchuck season carrying a ramrod in one hand and Ozarks gun in the other. After 3-4 trips out I had left the ramrod in a feild one time and almost lost it. Began using my original Savage again because it was a pain to carry the rod (and a shooting stick!)
I'm buying one soon.

Now if someone would come up with a sling with a pouch on it, that would be the neatest thing since canned beer.

Now if someone would come up with a sling with a pouch on it, that would be the neatest thing since canned beer. the pouch in the pic could be fashionabley sewen on a sling, or maybe get some of that stretchy material they use in in the loops of cartridge shellholders, and sew in on.

As a kid at my uncle's duck camp I was taught that anything you shoot you eat. Anyone want to know what crow, blue jay and water turkey taste like???

What's a water turkey?

Chuck41, A little off topic here, but woodchucks make excellent table fare for crows and foxes. If you blow them up good, it also makes their consumption easier for them. Pests are pests and around here, these critters are very destructive and cause damage to equipment in hay season and occationally livestock will step in their holes. It's nice to only eat what you shoot. If you can't eat it all, just be sure something or someone else eats it.

very good reply gods creatures all need a free meal once and awhile yea the farmers here want ya to shoot them also. growing up on a farm with cows thats what we also did same reason. but back to the point ill be getting one of those did anyone get it figured out how long the last piece with a sinjag will be so there all the same length yet that way when we order all we have to tell him is its for a savge with spinjag would make it easy for us and him thanks it looks gr8. kevin

:)kevin, just divide your desired length by 3 and subracted 2 3/16" from one of the sections.but really there is no need because mac has all the measurements for the spin jag and he has a savage so all you need to do is pic up the phone.
