I'm currently shooting a very good ITX Load in a 3" 12 gauge. I don't shoot ITX a lot because of the price but When I do I'd like to try a 3 1/2". The 3" load is- Multihull/ Ched -209 /38 gr Steel/TPS1275/1 3/8 oz. #2 ITX/mica slick /.030 over shot card/ 6 point crimp. In my 870 and full factory choke It delivers the stated average 1500 fps and makes an impressive pattern at 50 yards. All the loads I'm seeing for a 3 1/2" are for the same 1 3/8 oz. payload but with 45 gr Steel and only 70 fps faster. I think I'm looking for around 1500 fps and a 1 1/2 oz. payload. Any one ever see a load recipe for something near this ? :hi:

Only thing close I have ever seen used "longshot" powder.

I tried one today. It calls for 45 gr steel Powder ( A LOT) An 1 1/2 oz. pay load. I checked it on the Magnospeed and it clocks at 1650 average, wow way fast for an 1 1/2 oz. load. The recoil is a 11 out of 1 to 10. The pattern was not bad at 50 yards but it will cost almost $3 for me to reload it. HUMMM maybe I wont.
