78RR had the only answer on here that made sense. Y'all need to listen. That's one wicked tool.
I have EVERY SINGLE KNIFE SHARPENING SYSTEM that is sold in N. America. You don't think so? Challenge me, dude! I bet I do. And I could dull any knife by using any of them, almost instantly.
Till the Work Sharp... Now my hunting buddies line up asking "Can you sharpen my knife?".......I say "Yep, just buy me some more belts"!!!

I do not like any heat at the edge of my knives. Hand sharpening is the only way to go for me. I have been sharpening knives for about 48 years now. And I have had to rework knives by stoning them back to get a edge on them. I have fixed knives that were sharpened on a bench grinder. To me stones get the best edge.

You guys haven't been around any wood carvers or fanatical special forces types. First the stones with various methods to get the perfect angle. Then the leather strop with polishing compound for the final touch.

I took tar12s advice on the sharpener. It is handy and does a nice job.

Buckrub I challenge your statement, show me that you have a Hunt Precession knife sharpening system, it is not a mass production sharpener but rather a proprietary sharpener.

I finally pulled the trigger on the Wicked Edge system. It arrived yesterday and after setting it up and running through a couple beater knives to test it and learn how to use it, I am very impressed with it. It can put a super sharp edge on a knife. It is pricy but it flat out works. I had a few knives I use for butchering game and they had a decent edge from the electric Chef's Choice so I decided to try them on the WE system. Wow! I have never been able to get them as sharp as they are now. It is quick, repeatable, and once you get the hang of the motion, easy to use.

For those of you using the wicked Edge I was wondering how well do they work on the smaller Knives like folding pocket, and would it be possible to resharpen the broadheads that have replaceable blades?.

Killahog I use my WE on my pocket knife and it does great. I have not tried the replacement blades yet.

Chef's Choice for me. It's a fast way to get knives shaving sharp and I don't see any problem with edges not holding up [on good knives]. I don't let them get real dull so mostly just touch up on stropping wheel. That Wicked Edge sharpener looks very nice but, I don't have the patients for hand sharpening.
