I just ordered brass dies and bullets for my Ruger77 350mag and a bunch of muzzle'loader stuff. I need to work on some African big game loads.

I thought maybe I would hear from someone that loads this cartridge, I have reloaded most but not this one only because I have a BLR in Win358 and didn't use this rifle much its a Ruger77. Any dangerous game load recipes out there?

About 10 year ago, our son killed a griz with a 350. We developed the load he used. I looked around here today for information of the load, but could find nothing written on paper or stored in my computer. What i know for sure is the bullet was a 250g partition. The powder was V V N540. Knowing us, the charge would have been max or above. At this time i have no recall of what the charge he used was. The griz dropped and died from the one shot. What i do know for sure, is his current elk load in the 350 is 225g partition pushed by 66g V V N540. Sorry i cannot be more helpful.

I use 62gr. of Ramshot TAC under a Barnes TSX FB 200gr. for hogs. I wouldn't have a problem using that load on black bear, but with a Grizzly or African game I would want a whole different caliber. I love the 350RM, but I would have to have something that started with a 4 for the stuff you are talking about.

Thanks for the info guys. I mounted Burris ruger style steel rings on the gun with a Bushnell trophy1.5t-4 power scope on it because I didn't like the ruger rings.Well anyway I worked up a load with Acc2700 powder its not listed for the 350mag but I did it anyway and using 63.5gr with a Hornady 200gr round nose I shot a five shot group that a nickel could cover so take .358 from that and its a very tight group and also I loaded some Magmus jacketed 158gr 357 bullets with the same charge and it hits the same place. Now its time to work up a load with my 220gr Bear claws. ;D

I've had very good results with H-322 for the 200 gr bullets and Varget for the 225 + bullets

I shot IMR-4320 under a 225gr NP with Fed GM215M primers out of my worked over Rem 700 Classic. That load would shoot .6-.7MOA with boring regularity.
