I got to go Sunday to Navarre Pier, after 7 hours on stand she came floating by and I threw to her about 65 yds and put a lure with 3 ft of her nose she went down about 20 ft to the bottom and followed for around 30 yds before slamming it.... I jacked her jaw and she ran about 150yds and tail walked and head shook for about 10yds on top of the water...AWESOME sight... anyway after around twenty minutes she came closer to the pier and bulldogged on the bottom for around ten minutes...I kept heavy pressure on her with 50lb powerpro trying to wear her out before she came close to the pier.....finally she started to come up to the surface and breathe some air and my pier brothers with with pier gaffs helped me land her....one guy put a gaff in her back and another near the head and they both pulled her up and over the rail.... a crowd on lookers were amazed at the size of her ..almost 55" forklength.....she ended up weighing 58lbs. I'm a happy camper....I'm the one in the white shirt, the sun was going down ...... Greenhorn Attachments:
