Ontario Late Season muzzleloader hunt 2010

Our late season muzzleloader season is coming to an end ( 2 more days to go).
Hunted all week, my two boys were accompanying me between shifts.
I've been passing up does to give the kids a chance at it. My oldest son Michael shot a young buck on Tuesday evening, Wednesday the boys had a close call but no cigar. Last night ( Thursday) it was just me and number 2 son Phillip. I set him up on the edge of an alfalpha field and right at dusk 3 does came busting out of the bush onto the field, they kept looking back. Fortunately he had enough insite to hold off and see what was happening, this buck hit the field birddogging the does. He was shooting off of sticks and grunted to stop the bugger.
Dropped him in his tracks. a main frame 10 pt with a 25 in. spread. He was using the thumbhole savage, my modified 300 gr. remington bullet with 65 grs of H4198 and a short mmp sabot.
The shot was right at 150 yrds.
Hopefully the old man can get er done in the next two days. But if not I had more fun looking at the expressions on the boys faces to last a lifetime.
