Rifle Stand: Caldwell Lead Sled Altitude: 450 ft Chronograph: Chrony Alpha Model 8 ft from muzzle. (8 fps added to all recorded velocities to correct for distance of chrony from muzzle.) Barrel Type: PacNor .45 Cal Muzzleloader Barrel OD = 1.06 in Barrel ID = .452 Breech Plug:Savage Std. (screw-in ventliner) ventliner orifice .033 in. Sensor dist fm BP= .58in. Bullet Diam.= .458 in. Bullet Type = Hornady 10mm. xtp Bullet weight = 200gr. ,unknurled. Sabot: Harvester Smooth Blue (9gr) Powder: 1st Panel (Upper): T1= 10x single, 62gr., T2= 10x 64gr., Primer :Fed 209 2nd Panel: N110/10x duplex, 10/50gr (both traces). Primer: Fed209 Shot fm dirty barrel. Sabots were not recovered. There is room for more development with 10x and 200gr bullets in 45cal. Barrels. These loads seemed safe in my barrel under the conditions of this test but may not be under other conditions. TG

10X is a bit slow for that 200 grain bullet. QL would estimate 75 or 80 grains to be ballpark to get in the 40 kpsi area.
QL would estimate 64 grains at 2651 fps @ 30 kpsi and only 87% burnt.

PS QL would estimate 80 grains of 10X to be 3028 fps @ 39 kpsi and 94.6% burnt.

TG, Where does the N110/10x duplex trace show up for the 2 shots in the 2nd panel?

Moutainam: Oops! Wrong trace. I have modified the post to show the correct trace. It is easy to get lost in big files in photobucket. Thanks for pointing out the error. TG
