Okay so I finally was able to wait between shots because I was sighting in another muzzleloader with a friend. SO my wait time between shots 15 min+ and which lead to a good group. I also upped the charge to 60 grains verses 56 grains weighed. I only shot three times with the Elite today because I was spending time sighting in the other guns so the rest of the holes were from the other gun I was sighting in. Load: 60 Grains IMR 4198 200 Grain Hornady SST (knurled) Harvester Blue Sabot Winchester 209 Next year I will try sabotless ! River Rat

Looks like you're there! .. That's a good hunting combo.. I killed two bucks with that load a couple years ago.... They barely got out of their tracks... Shot through the ribcage and they bled to death out of their nose and mouth. Zen

Way to go! Do it the way Panhandle said, through the lungs, and you'll have meat in the freezer.

Thanks Guys, I was happy to see that group! The guy shooting with me I think was pretty upset when he saw that group he didn't stick around much after that! He was having problems with his gun. He couldn't get any more adjustment out of his scope to go up and he was already 3 to 4 inches low. He has the shoot threw sights on his gun and I recommended that he took those off and went to regular rings thinking that might help him. I am the only guy shooting smokeless this year but it will be interesting to see who will change after this season! River Rat
